Getting Started
How do I create an account?
To create an account:
- Download Qihuiyu from the App Store
- Open the app and tap "Sign Up"
- Enter your phone number and verify it with the code sent via SMS
- Create your profile by adding a username and profile picture
- Start chatting!
Is Qihuiyu free to use?
Yes! Qihuiyu is completely free to download and use. All core features including messaging, voice calls, video calls, and group chats are available at no cost. Any optional premium features will be clearly marked within the app.
What devices are supported?
Qihuiyu is available on:
- iOS 13.0 or later (iPhone and iPad)
- Android 8.0 or later
- Web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
Your conversations sync seamlessly across all your devices.
Account & Privacy
How do I change my profile information?
To update your profile:
- Open Qihuiyu and tap on "Settings"
- Select "Profile"
- Tap on any field you want to edit (name, photo, status, etc.)
- Save your changes
How secure are my messages?
Your privacy is our priority. All messages in Qihuiyu are protected with end-to-end encryption. This means only you and the person you're communicating with can read the messages. Not even Qihuiyu can access your message content.
Can I delete my messages?
Yes! You can delete messages in two ways:
- Delete for yourself: Long-press a message and select "Delete" → "Delete for Me"
- Delete for everyone: Long-press a message and select "Delete" → "Delete for Everyone" (must be done within 1 hour of sending)
How do I delete my account?
You can permanently delete your account at any time:
Method 1: In-App Deletion
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete My Account
- Enter your phone number to confirm
- Tap "Delete My Account"
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 90 days
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to privacy@Qihuiyu.com with the subject "Delete My Account" and include your registered phone number. We will process your request within 30 days.
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your messages, media, and account information will be deleted.
How do I block or report a user?
To block a user:
- Open the chat with the user
- Tap their name at the top of the screen
- Select "Block User"
To report abuse, tap "Report User" instead. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
Features & Usage
How do I create a group chat?
To create a group:
- Tap the "New Chat" button
- Select "New Group"
- Choose participants from your contacts
- Set a group name and photo
- Tap "Create"
You can add up to 256 participants to a group.
How do I make voice or video calls?
To start a call:
- Open a chat with the person you want to call
- Tap the phone icon for a voice call or camera icon for a video call
- Wait for them to answer
Note: Calls require a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
Can I backup my chats?
Yes! You can backup your chats to keep your messages safe:
- Go to Settings → Chats → Chat Backup
- Choose backup frequency (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Manual)
- Select whether to include videos
- Tap "Back Up Now"
Backups are encrypted and stored securely. You can restore your chats when reinstalling the app.
How do I change notification settings?
To customize notifications:
- Open Settings → Notifications
- Choose notification sound, vibration, and popup settings
- You can also mute individual chats by opening the chat and tapping the mute icon
Technical Issues
Messages aren't being delivered. What should I do?
If messages aren't sending:
- Check your internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
- Make sure Qihuiyu has permission to use mobile data (in device settings)
- Try closing and reopening the app
- Check if there's an app update available
- Restart your device
If the problem persists, contact our support team.
The app keeps crashing. How can I fix this?
To resolve crashes:
- Make sure you have the latest version of Qihuiyu installed
- Update your device's operating system
- Clear the app cache (Settings → Storage → Clear Cache)
- Uninstall and reinstall the app (your chats will be restored from backup)
- Ensure your device has enough storage space
If crashes continue, please email us at tech@Qihuiyu.com with details about when the crashes occur.
I can't verify my phone number
If you're having trouble with verification:
- Make sure you entered the correct phone number with country code
- Check if you have SMS blocking enabled on your device
- Wait a few minutes and request a new code
- Try verification via phone call instead of SMS
- Contact your carrier to ensure you can receive SMS from automated services
How do I recover my account if I lost my phone?
To recover your account:
- Install Qihuiyu on your new device
- Enter your phone number during setup
- Verify with the SMS code sent to your number
- Your account will be restored
- If you enabled chat backup, your messages will also be restored
If you no longer have access to your phone number, contact us at support@Qihuiyu.com for assistance.
Billing & Subscriptions
Do you offer premium features?
Qihuiyu's core features are free forever. We may offer optional premium features in the future, such as:
- Additional cloud storage for media
- Custom themes and stickers
- Premium badges and profile customization
Any premium features will be clearly optional, and you'll always have full access to all messaging features for free.
How do I manage my subscription?
All subscriptions are managed through your device's app store:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Qihuiyu
- Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Qihuiyu
You can view, modify, or cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account.
